One Day, Two Deaths
Saturday, November 22nd, 2003Most of us who were alive on Nov. 22, 1963 can remember exactly where we were when word came that JFK had been shot in Dallas. What most of us who remember that, forget, is that on this date was also the passing of one of the greatest Christian writers of our time: C. S. Lewis. As I watched all the pomp and ceremony of the Kennedy funeral, I couldn’t help but think that up in heaven the real celebrations were for the English Don, not the American President.
